In this alternative design, I have turned the design on the end and made it into a portrait versus landscape card. Amazing!!

NOTE: I think I inadvertently gave an incorrect measurement during my video:
card base is 7-1/2″ x 4.25″, score 3-1/4″ from both ends on the 7-1/2″ side
On 7-1/2′ side make a tick mark on both sides of the 7-1/2″ sides and at both ends at 1-5/8″ from the top and bottom (4 tick marks only on 7-1/2″ side
To make the swing mechanism: on the 4-1/4″ side align the trimmer blade 3/4″ from the left and right edges and cut from 1-5/8″ to the 3-1/4″ score line. I show this in the video but I think I said (4-1/4″) The score line is at 3-1/4″ on each end of the 7-1/2″ side. You will make 4 cuts/slits. Then you will cut from the 1st cut line over to your other cut line and that makes that rectangle cut open on 3 sides. It is still attached at the 3-1/4″ score line.

Today, we are combining this show-stopping interactive mechanism with the breathtaking, elegant layers of the brand-new Stampin’ Up! Violet Dreams Suite Collection.

The star of this show is the beautiful two-sided 12″x12″ designer series paper, Violet Dreams. This designer paper includes delicate florals, soft stripes, and polka dots. As an added bonus, this designer series paper pack includes coordinating punch out florals, blooms, leaves, and tags. These precut pieces bring to life any card, scrapbook page, or project.

Coordinating colors included in this designer series paper pack include Secret Sea, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Darling Duckling, Hydrangea Hue, and Peaceful Pine. I also think you could incorporate Highland Heather into the mix. Stampin’ Up! products and color pallets coordinate well with all of their stamps, dies, embossing folders, etc.

Other products I’d like to showcase that were used in making this card is the Framed Violets Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Framed Violets Dies – combined as the Framed Violets Bundle which always gets you 10% off if purchased as a bundle. The bundle includes beautiful violet floral stamps and the dies include a large scalloped oval die and a large oval to make your card focal point stand out. Of course if you are the “I need it all” person like I am, there is the Violet Dreams Suite Collection where you can get all of the goodies that coordinate the airy soft florals like the stamp/die bundle, embellishment, fresh freesia ribbon, and the designer series paper pack. Paper Pumpkin April 2026 Lakeside Retreat Alternative

April 2026 Paper Pumpkin Lakeside Retreat is a nature-inspired card-making kit designed primarily for masculine occasions like Father’s Day and birthdays. It features serene waterside imagery and an earthy color palette, allowing you to create nine handmade cards. When I started looking at this amazing kit, the ideas just kept coming, one right after another. I made the 3 original designed cards and then got started on making alternatives with all of the kit contents. I accidentally received 2 kits so I had plenty of ephemera and card bases and envelopes to play with. This masculine card kit had perfect card bases and ephemera that worked well with the fun fold templates.

Lovely & Beautiful Fun Fold Bridge Card

I started this fun fold bridge card with Petal Pink cardstock as the foundation. The soft blush tone instantly sets a romantic, feminine mood, and it pairs beautifully with the botanical artwork in the suite. The fold itself is simple but interactive—just enough movement to make the card feel special without being complicated.

To add texture, I embossed the front bridge panel using the Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder. The raised floral pattern gives the card a soft, quilted look that complements the suite’s delicate illustrations.

The star of this project is the Lovely & Beautiful Suite Collection. I chose a mix of designer paper and stamped images to decorate each section of the fold. The floral artwork is detailed but airy, so it doesn’t overwhelm the soft color palette.

A few of the Beautifully Adorned Ephemera pieces were perfect for adding quick, elegant layers—especially the botanical accents. They layer beautifully to give the card a polished, dimensional look without extra effort.

Lovely Blossoms Fun Fold Card

The Lovely Arrangements Stamp/Die Bundle along with the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper make this card feel like a paper garden party tucked into an envelope.

Soft petal pink tones and secret sea create a cozy, elegant backdrop while the Lovely Arrangements dies bring all the charm front and center. A delicate lattice die cut frames the design like a trellis, layered over bold florals and leafy prints for depth and texture. The stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and ridged frame draw your eye to the heartfelt sentiment, “Another Wonderful Year”, making it the perfect focal point for your birthday or anniversary card or any celebration worth toasting! A few layered leaves and glossy embellishments from the Moody Pallet Glossy Dots add just the right touch of dimension and polish, like tiny drops of morning dew. The result is a beautifully balanced card that feels fresh, sophisticated, and handmade with love, perfect for celebrating.

This designer series paper featured in this card includes 3 pages of the same design with a total of 12 sheets in the entire package. The front sides usually have a selection of floral designs in pleasing colors and the back side has a neutral pattern in a coordinating color. All of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! color array is listed on the back of the package. This particular package includes Crumb Cake, Cloud Cover, Old Olive, Petal Pink, and Secret Sea. These colors blend and coordinate beautifully together resulting in a pleasing color palette.

This card design was created for a swap that I was involved in and I thought I’d share that with all of you crafty friends. My card base on this card starts out with Petal Pink in the portrait design. The right side Secret Sea panel does not lift. It is adhered to the base of the card. The left panel is decorated with one of my very favorite sheets of the designer paper – Petal Pink and Secret Sea!! That panel also includes the unique trellis dots focal point which is a die included in the Lovely Arrangements Stamp and Die Bundle.

I pulled in a couple dies from my favorite go to die sets Spotlight On Nature and Stylish Shapes. Both of these die sets are staples in my craft room because of the nesting abilities.

Don’t be afraid to use your favorite stamps and dies when you find a favorite cardstock or designer paper that you like. I was looking for particular stamps for this card and pulled in another of my favorite stamp sets: Reason to Celebrate as I wanted to be able to use this card for both anniversary and birthday but it doesn’t say birthday so I can use it for any event you want to celebrate since I chose “Another wonderful year” and “CELEBRATE” for the inside greeting! How perfect was that combination?!!

Welcome back for part 3 of 3, the final in the ONE SHEET WONDER card class series using the brand new 2026 January Online Exclusives Lovely Blossoms Suite Collection. As you saw in Parts 1 and 2, in this creative series you’ll learn how to turn one sheet of patterned designer paper into 8 beautiful but quick handmade cards. In the part 1 and part 2 class we created a total of 6 quick and simple cards, focusing on easy layouts, smart cutting techniques, and fun finishing touches. In part 3 we will complete the series with 2 cards using the 2″ squares cut from the bottom of the 12 x 12 Lovely Blossoms designer series paper — my favorite new designer series paper!! I love the way the cards turned out using the 2″x2″ squares. I think the pastel cloud cover and petal pink card is soft and fluffy and would be great for a wedding shower or a baby shower.
